Office - Bush In A Kindergarten Class
So Bush is going to a kindergarten class to talk to some kids. He discusses a few different topics with them, then asks, "Does anyone know what a tragedy is?"
One kid in the front row raises his hand. Bush calls on him, and he says, "If my mommy ran over my dog, it would be a tragedy!"
Bush replies with, "No, that would be an accident."
So another kid raises their hand and Bush calls on them. They say, "If the bus driver drove off a cliff and everyone in it died, would that be a tragedy?"
Bush shakes his head and says, "No, that would be a great loss."
Finally, a little girl in the back row raises her hand, and Bush calls on her. She says, "If you and your wife were on a plane and it crashed, that would be a tragedy."
Bush says, "Yes. And how did you know that?"
"Easy! It wouldn't be an accident, and it wouldn't be a great loss!" Rating: 4.03
